Dr. Roger Flippen is an energetic general dentist with broad training in implants, parenteral sedation, and everyday dental procedures. He was born and raised in Texas and grew up on a ranch near Houston, where he was involved in 4-H: raising various types of animals and training horses.
He completed his undergraduate education in 2010 from Texas A&M. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2016, Dr. Flippen moved his family to Birmingham, Alabama. During his time there, he received extensive training in dental implants, various bone grafting techniques, and IV moderate sedation.
Dr. Flippen volunteers at The Foundry as a dentist to serve the surrounding community of people who need financial assistance due to issues stemming from drug and alcohol abuse. He administers IV sedation for various types of surgeries, consults with patients, analyzes their X-rays, and expertly treats infections of the oral cavity, jaw, and neck.
Dr. Flippen utilizes the most up-to-date techniques and practices currently available in the dental field, and has a wonderful personality that allows his patients to enjoy their time spent with him. His number-one priority is his patients’ happiness!
Dr. Flippen is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, he is working toward obtaining his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
When he is not practicing dentistry he enjoys spending time with his three children and wife.
