Dr. Tho (Thomas) Huynh is a general dentist with nearly two decades of experience. He has an extensive background in oral surgery, periodontal surgery, oral rehabilitation, implant placement and comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Huynh completed his undergraduate education in 1993 at Haverford College with a bachelor’s in molecular biology/immunology, and he received specialized training in infectious diseases and endocrinology from Harvard University in 1994. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in May 2000 and proceeded to his general residency at the Naval Dental Center-Great Lakes, where he completed the course the following May.
Dr. Huynh has been awarded numerous honors during his time serving with the U.S. Navy, which include Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Service Medal, Expert Marksman, Overseas Services, and Armed Forces Combat Casualty Care Course Recipient. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, has conducted research pertaining to “Intraosseous Implantation of Irradiated Mandibles” sponsored by the American Dental Association in Chicago, and has been voted America’s Best Dentist in 2009, 2010, and 2011!
Dr. Huynh is fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys sailing, cooking, traveling, discussing politics, and working with computers.
