Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Vincent Hathaway is a general dentist who has practiced in multiple locations, including Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Texas. Dr. Hathaway began his professional career as a teacher assistant for the St. Louis Science Center and Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club of America, and served as a mentor and tutor for children.
In 2004, he interned for the Genetic Department at Washington University School of Medicine, conducting research pertaining to genetic mapping while also employed as a laboratory assistant at Grambling State University. He completed his undergraduate education in 2005 at Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
After obtaining his bachelor’s, Dr. Hathaway ventured into education and worked as a second-grade teacher while advancing toward his Master of Science from Howard University in 2012. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Hathaway recognized his passion for dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University in 2016. He furthered his knowledge of dentistry by completing his general practice residency at Harlem Hospital in 2017.
Dr. Hathaway prides himself on meeting his patients on a personal level while thoroughly discussing and treating their dental concerns, he is dedicated to educating his patients on maintaining proper oral health. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the Student National Dental Association, and the American Student Dental Association.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading books, and working out.
