Teeth Whitening in Humble

Many adults wish to have pearly white teeth to make their smiles pop. There are a couple of ways that this can be done, and you can get started by undertaking teeth whitening in Humble in the Lovett, Splendid, and Haven dental offices.

Our dentists have undergone training and have numerous years of experience whitening teeth, so you’ll know you’re in capable hands throughout the procedure.

The truth is, no one is born with perfectly white teeth since human teeth have a natural yellowish tinge to them. But, teeth whitening procedures are used to give patients radiant pearly whites that positively impact their confidence.

Your perfect smile is just around the corner; call us at (832) 804-7427 to learn more about the various dental treatment options offered at Lovett Dental.

Professional Teeth Whitening Services

Commercial teeth whiteners contain an active ingredient in peroxide, also known as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide. We don’t recommend attempting a teeth whitening procedure at home (even with commercial whiteners) prior to consulting your dentist.

Bleach needs to be handled with care, meaning that it can exacerbate existing oral health conditions if applied incorrectly. Therefore, it’s best to set up a free consultation with us to determine the best course of action going forward.

In-office teeth whitening uses peroxide with up to 43% concentration which only qualified and experienced dentists can handle. At Lovett Dental, you won’t have to wait long to get your teeth whitened due to the use of high-concentration peroxide.

We also provide take-home teeth whitening kits that contain 3-20% peroxide for patients that prefer to whiten their teeth from the comfort of their homes or those that don’t qualify for an in-office whitening procedure.

How do We Approach Whitening Your Teeth?

Teeth whitening in Humble in one of our dental offices takes just a couple of appointments to complete and it’s much more effective than home remedies and other types of teeth whitening procedures.

Your dentist will use professional-strength whitening agents to achieve the best and quickest results; this process may be accompanied by heat, light, or both. Once done, your smile will be 3-8 shades whiter than before getting the treatment. In some cases, this process can be finished in just 2 hours.

Some patients may need multiple 30-60-minute office visits so we can recommend the best whitening procedure for your teeth but rest assured that you will get a beautiful, white smile regardless of which method is used.

At-Home Whitening Options (Optional)

If your teeth aren’t too stained and just need a light refresh, we may recommend whitening your teeth at home with the weaker peroxide (3-20%, depending on your teeth). Teeth whitening at home is also a good idea after you’ve already had your teeth bleached by a dentist since it enables you to maintain those pearly whites with ease.

There are a couple of different options:

  • Whitening trays, gels, and strips
  • Toothpaste that whitens
  • Home care kits equipped with all the tools you need (provided by our dentists)

Whitening trays are filled with bleaching gel or paste and are worn over your teeth for a specific duration every day.

Teeth whitening strips and gels should be placed directly on your teeth. After doing this for a while, you’ll notice that your teeth have become slightly whiter (although an in-office whitening procedure will produce better and longer-lasting results). This method will keep your teeth white for around 3-4 months.

Whitening toothpastes are the least effective and can usually lighten your teeth by just a single shade of white.

Teeth Whitening Benefits

Teeth whitening can have an impressive impact on patients’ lives, with the most noticeable being a bright new smile. It’s virtually a guaranteed way to showcase your attention to personal hygiene, impress potential employers, and more.

But the benefits don’t stop there:

  • The best results come from professional teeth whitening. You can get your teeth whitened in just a couple of hours compared to using whitening toothpaste or various store-bought teeth whitening kits.
  • Getting your teeth bleached by a dentist will also allow them to do it precisely where you want your teeth whitened using personalized treatment options.
  • There is no pain or discomfort associated with professional teeth whitening and it’s the most comfortable option available.
  • Your self-confidence will skyrocket once you get the white teeth of your dreams.
