Clear Aligners in Katy
To help you feel more comfortable about this new method of fixing teeth, let’s go over the clear aligners application process in detail, as well as any follow-up information that might be useful. After all, it’s good to know how certain procedures or dental equipment can help your overall oral health.
What are Clear Comfort Aligners?
Clear Comfort Aligners are orthodontic devices that we create from a specific type of plastic that’s clear and comfortable, thanks to its versatility. These aligners are molded to the shape of your teeth, ensuring a snug fit. They work similarly to braces by slowly and gently realigning your teeth.
The usual time spent wearing an aligner is about one week. This means you’ll have to go through a series of aligners that will transform your smile in a gradual way. Overall, you should spend around 22 hours wearing the aligners each day; you should take them off only when you’re eating and brushing your teeth. This will make the realigning process and treatment quick and effective.
Be mindful that it generally takes around 5 months for the treatment to finish if you’re a good candidate for the $70/month treatment plan. If you are not a good candidate for said treatment - don’t worry! The Clear Comfort Aligners are fully capable of realigning your teeth but it might take longer (up to a year or more, depending on your specific treatment plan).
And while we don’t have any hidden fees, one of our orthodontic specialists will have to devote more time to your case if your treatment plan requires additional involvement, time, or resources.
This is all made clear to our patients before any treatments are done. Remember that you can get a FREE dental exam at one of our offices, so you’ll have freedom of choice regarding whether or not you want to proceed with treatment and getting clear aligners in Katy.
Lastly, it’s important to note that the Clear Comfort Aligners are made to be as comfortable and bearable as possible. Most people won’t experience any pain, but there is a possibility of feeling discomfort or tenderness.
This is normal because it’s a sign that the aligners are doing their job shifting your teeth. You also might have sensitive gums and teeth. Feel free to take Tylenol as needed to minimize the discomfort or pain.

Clear Comfort Aligner Alignment Process
1.Visit Our Offices
Before giving you your clear aligner(s), we’ll first need to craft them. This is done by taking simple impressions of your teeth to determine whether or not you’re a good candidate for receiving clear aligners.
In some cases, clear aligners won’t be helpful for their wearer, or it won’t be possible to create the aligners due to teeth alignment, missing teeth, etc.
The good news is that clear aligners have been shown to be quite versatile. In any case, schedule an assessment and appointment with our dental offices in Katy so our clinical team can analyze the situation.
2. Custom-Made SmileDesign
We have perfected the method of taking impressions of our patient’s teeth and using those impressions to create clear aligners that ensure a snug, comfortable fit. This is why said impressions are important in the first place.
We will also provide you with animations that showcase what the end result will look like - i.e. your beautiful new teeth. Our Clear Comfort Aligners are custom-made, and the best part is that you won’t have to pick them up yourself - we’ll ship them to your address when you confirm your order and we have the impressions of your teeth.
3. Guided Treatment
Once you receive your clear aligners, you’ll be able to use our bespoke, user-friendly remote monitoring app (“DentalMonitoring”). Don’t worry, we’ll help you install the app by sending you the instructions.
The app will provide you with easy access to the Lovett Dental clinical staff that can guide you through the treatment. This also allows us to keep track of your improvement remotely (via the app), meaning you won’t have to come in for the traditional dental checkups that you usually would.
